ARLINGTON, WA—Arlington’s Weston High School has installed a school vending machine that provides free breakfast and lunch to students all day. The refrigerated vending machine includes food items ranging from yogurt to nachos, and the school hopes to reduce food insecurity while boosting attendance and graduation rates.
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — A “Harm Reduction Vending Machine” as it’s called, has been installed in the lobby of the Edwin M. Lee Apartments in San Francisco. It’s an affordable housing community in Mission Bay where many military veterans live. The vending machines will soon dispense free sterile syringes.
For over 10 years the Salina Fire Department has utilized a vending system from VendNovation LLC for controlled distribution of all medications and many of our disposable medical supplies such as IV needles, airway management supplies, bandaging supplies and replacement EKG electrodes and defibrillation pads.
